Is Smyle Inn a hostel or budget inn?
Smyle Inn is a hostel with facilities of a budget inn. All rooms are private with air conditioned and en suite with option of standard and superior rooms. There is separate lounging area where travellers can meet and chat, and use internet and restaurant facilities. Complimentary breakfast and WiFi is provided to all guests.
Why should I book airport or station pickup from Smyle Inn?
Booking pickup with us is the most convenient and hassle free way to Location. We offer free pickup to customers staying with us for 6 or more night.
A pickup is highly recommended if you're travelling to the area for the first time, especially if before 6 AM or after 8 PM local time.
Just as an added bonus, the front desk is expecting you so that your check in is smooth and you can rest and freshen up after the hefty commute.
How can I contact higher management in case of any assistance needed, or perhaps a problem with staff, service, or facilities?
Ask front desk to put you in touch to general manager or you can email us using the internet facility at our hostel. All emails and their replies are marked to higher management and owners. Your problem will be addressed earliest. Be assured we are here to make your stay comfortable, safe and convenient.
Is it okay to use the public transport from airport or railway station to Smyle Inn?
It is okay and safe to use public transport like Airport Express and radio taxi to arrive at Smyle Inn. Prepaid Taxi is not a good option as many prepaid taxi drivers are not very helpful in directing to places and are known to cheat new visitors to the city by taking them elsewhere for easy commission money. Just check out (and print) the directions and you should be fine in reaching Smyle Inn. However if you are coming at odd hours, it is best to use the pickup service from Smyle Inn as explained above.
How to use the Airport Express (Metro) to arrive at Smyle Inn?
Currently Airport Express operated between 5 AM and 11 PM. To arrive at Smyle Inn while using the new Airport Express, first arrive at the New Delhi (Metro) Station. Then exit the metro station and enter the New Delhi Train Station and walk towards platform number 1, which is also called the Pahar Ganj side. Ask someone for directions to Pahar Ganj Main Bazaar. After entering the Pahar Ganj Main Bazaar, just follow the directions. Ignore any touts and people trying to confuse you and just follow the directions given.
What is your cancellation policy? Is there any deposit for making a reservation?
There are no cancellation charges up to 48 hours before arrival time.
Guests can be asked for some deposit for certain reservations, especially when the arrival is after 6 PM or guests are coming on their own. We also might request deposit for long stay, group stay, and during certain dates and periods.

What is the checkin and checkout time? If I plan to checkin earlier or checkout later than the set time, do I have to pay extra?
Checkin time is 12 noon and checkout time is 11 AM.
Free earlier checkin is provided starting 10AM if room is available.
Early Check-in before 10AM and Late Check-outs after 1PM are chargeable and Subject to availability. Checkin between 6am and 10am AND Checkout between 1PM and 6PM attract half night rent. Checkin earlier or checkout later attract full night rent.
How and when can I claim breakfast?
Breakfast is available between 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM on the roof of Standard Wing. In acute weather conditions, breakfast in served in the lounge (Level 3, Standard Wing).
How and when can I avail internet and WiFi?
WiFi is available free of cost 24 hours throughout the two wings. Just ask the reception for the WiFi password.
If you want to use our computers, you can use then between 8 AM and 10 PM.
Can I keep my luggage at the hostel?
You may keep luggage with us. We store it for 24 hours after checkout at no extra cost. After that, a charge ₹10 (approximately 20¢) per piece per day is added.
What happens if I misplace my key or lock the room with the key inside?
There is a charge of ₹500 (approximately US$8) if you lose your key. The duplicate key is usually with the owners and it will take at least 2 hours to bring duplicate key to the hostel. The commuting charge of ₹500 (approximately US$8) is payable by you.
Which is the nearest train station? Which is the nearest Delhi Metro (subway) station?
For intercity trains, it is New Delhi Train Station which is a 5 minutes walk from the hostel.
For the intracity trains, i.e., Delhi Metro, both R. K. Ashram Marg Metro Station and New Delhi Metro Station are five minutes walk from the hostel.
What documents are required for checkin purpose?
All foreigners (non Indians) need to present a valid passport and a valid visa at the time of checkin.
All Indians (18 years and above) have to present either passport, driving license or voter ID card. The ID proof should have address from out of Delhi.
This is required for all occupants of the room.
Will the air conditioner in room work during power failure?
Unfortunately, at present, air conditioners and heaters will not work during power failure; however, all lights, fans, and television sets will work.
Is there any curfew? What time the gates close?
We generally close the door around 1 AM. If we are aware of arrivals between 1 AM and 5 AM, we keep the lights on and leave the doors open to welcome guests. Though the service at odd hours is limited, checkin is still possible.
Do you lease rooms to unmarried couple?
We are not a moral police. Every one is welcome to stay with us irrespective of their marital status. We only want that guests should not have DELHI Address on their ID proof. We can only let out room to guests who have address proof of outside Delhi.
Can Indian and Non-Indian stay together?
We only want proper ID proofs from both Indian nationals and foreigners. If you have these then there is nothing to worry. Indian man, foreigner girl or vice versa staying with us is not problem as long as proper ID proofs are presented.
